What is VOR: The Maelstrom
VOR is an exciting tactical table top sci-fi wargame set in the wild and dangerous Maelstrom setting. The game features countless races fighting for survival and domination amidst a violent post apocalyptic setting on a cosmic scale.
Players represent one of the many races trapped in this domain by either using one of the established core forces of the game setting or by using the built-in rules to make their own custom race from scratch.
The game is played using 25mm miniatures, a large flat surface, hobby terrain, a 10-sided dice and a ruler.

Bioplazm Studios consists of Mike and Joan Nielsen, a husband and wife team-up, based in beautiful BC Canada. The studio was primarily formed to give Mike's wargame " VOR: The Maelstrom" a proper home but it quickly became apparent that it could also serve to be a focal point for the many other creative and artistic services this couple offered.
Mike has 20 years experience designing and illustrating traditional games and is currently attending the art institute of vancouver for a degree in 3D modeling.
Joan is a skilled writer and photographer and spends a great deal of time wrangling their new baby boy while still keeping the other 3 kids and pets out of trouble .
Both Mike and Joan are fanatical gamers and share a love for the outdoors. When not in front of a computer or game they are out camping and hiking.
